The movement

About Kait Sait

“Kait Sait” in the Marakwet language means “It is time”. This was the slogan for Tim Kipchumba’s campaign for the Elgeyo Marakwet senatorial by-election, called after the seat fell vacant in October 2022. It was a rallying call for people in the county, and especially young people, to recognise that the time had come for a candidate who actually cared about using politics to effect positive change.

In this video, Tim explains how his experience in the campaign inspired him to spread the message of Kait Sait.
